L'Harmonía - Talaia (L'Hospitalet de Llobregat - Spain)

The set L'Harmonia - Talaia is located at L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. province of Barcelona and belongs to the historical center of the city.
Description and History:
L'Harmonía (1595) :
It belonged to the inheritance of the 'Torre Blanca' (White Tower), mentioned since the eleventh century,
next to which, at the end of century XII, appears in the chronicles a small hospital,
Due to this, from the fifteenth century the population growing around
it was called "Pobla de L'Hospitalet", which would become the current name of the city.
It has been declared a Cultural Interest
and Cultural Biennial of National Interest of Catalonia.
It is currently used as an exhibition hall and cultural activities.
La Talaia / Can Modolell de la Torre (1587) :
Square tower composed of ground floor and four floors
Built in 1587 as part of "Mas Modolell de la Torre"
And that in the sixteenth century it occupied some 14 "mujades" (6,7 ha)
It was reconstructed and transferred in 1972 to its present location.
Its objective was the surveillance and protection of the attacks of pirates and corsairs.
